Behind the scenes

Hello there, I'm Linda. I'm a senior event director and writer. My heart is divided between writing and making things happen. I've worked very closely to the gastronomic scene since the beginning of my career, always from the event production side. I've organised festivals, congresses, pop-ups, clandestine dinners and a thousand other crazy things in order to bring together people with the same passion for eating and drinking.

I'm passionate about fermented drinks and everything they represent on a cultural level, and this obsession has led me to organise courses, tastings and drinks menus for special events.

I graduated in journalism and Spanish, English and Italian literature, and I took a master's degree in sommelerie, specialising in minimal intervention fermented drinks.

I'm a firm defender of drinks as a significant part of the gastronomic experience, and I believe that another type of drinking culture is possible and much needed.

I don’t write wine reviews, I don’t write about wine places and I don’t write about the ABC’s of wine tasting. There’s a bunch of people writing about all those topics with a passion that I honestly don’t feel.

I write on contemporary thinking, about the great work that some people do and their struggles trying to put the focus on sustainable agriculture with all the pros and cons this decision may have. I write about the discomfort I myself feel towards the drinks industry, and I like to make room for other people to express their own discomfort as well.

Cantina del Funk is an open space to talk about all the things that hurt, and the things that bring joy to our spirits.

Having said this, welcome, feel at home!

Thank you for reading, thank you for commenting and thank you for showing love at my events. You are the engine of change. Let’s make things happen, together.
